A Glimpse Into Our Beginnings🌸🥰
This photo was taken by a kind customer in 1974, right here at Sum Ngai Brass Factory — on the very spot where our front parking stands today. In the picture, our mom was warmly greeting visitors, while our dad stood near the welding area, working tirelessly with fire and brass. Behind him, the tall brown cylinders were gas tanks that fueled the high heat needed for his craft.
Our grandfather would begin casting at 4 a.m., before the sun rose, so his body could endure the intense heat of the furnace. It was hard, demanding work — but it was also filled with pride, joy, and the unwavering support of loyal customers who appreciated not only the pieces we created, but also the hospitality we shared.
More than six decades later, we remain deeply grateful for the trust, friendship, and love that continue to carry us forward.
