Jianzhan Tea Bowl
SKU:
PWCU0002

Jianzhan refers to tea bowls produced in Jian kilns, which are made from clay with a higher iron content in the Jianyang area of Fujian province. Jianzhan was first fired in the late Five Dynasties and early Northern Song Dynasty. The initial products were mainly solid black tea bowls without any patterns, known as "Wujin glazed bowls." Due to the unique firing process, each bowl has different patterns and styles, and when brewing different types of tea, Jianzhan will gradually exhibit various colorful patterns over time. Therefore, the practice of "nurturing the bowl" has gradually become popular among tea enthusiasts.
